History
LilaFans
originally started as an email newsletter titled, The Lila
Letter, in October of 1997 with only 8 members that was sent
out whenever there was something new to report on. Within a couple
of months, a web site was constructed to archive the newsletters
and in 1998 a full blown web site was started on none other than
LilaFans.com.
Since
its' creation, LilaFans has been recognized by various
web award organizations for its' supreme quality in content, design,
and accuracy. It has even been in the number one Country music
magazine, Country Weekly, and has been featured twice on
CountryNow.com where it was also nominated for the best
fan site of the year award in 1999. Most recently, it was included
in a May 2001 issue of Billboard magazine.
In
April of 2001, LilaFans was named the Official Lila
McCann Online Fan Club and became the home of the Official
Lila McCann Street Team (now known as the Lila McCann Star
Squad). In cooperation with Walker Management, Luck Media,
and the Lila McCann Fan Club, LilaFans is dedicated
to keeping the fans updated on all of Lilas' happenings. Additionally,
LilaFans is dedicated to furthering the career of Lila
by expanding awareness of her and her music online with the Lila
McCann Star Squad.
